The Bridge captures the intensity and vibrancy of a summer afternoon in St James’s Park during my participation in last year’s Sky Landscape Artist of the Year competition in London. Painted in just two hours on the hottest day of the year, the work portrays the iconic Blue Bridge surrounded by the energy of the park at its busiest, with tourists and visitors enjoying the sunshine.

The heat, movement, and atmosphere of the afternoon influenced my brushwork and color choices, encouraging a spontaneous and expressive response. Rather than focusing on fine detail, I aimed to convey the rhythm, light, and liveliness of the scene, embracing the immediacy of painting outdoors under time pressure.

Through this piece, I hope to share not only a recognizable London landmark but also the excitement of the creative challenge. I want to inspire people of all abilities to explore their own creativity—showing that art is about courage, participation, and capturing a moment in time.
