Honoured to Judge the Mansfield Society of Artists Seascape Competition

I am delighted and honoured to have been invited by the Mansfield Society of Artists to serve as the judge for their Seascape category.

It is a privilege to be entrusted with evaluating the work of fellow artists, particularly within a society that continues to encourage creativity, artistic development, and a passion for the visual arts.

Seascapes present artists with the exciting challenge of capturing the ever-changing character of the sea—from dramatic coastal scenes and atmospheric skies to tranquil waters and expressive interpretations of the shoreline.

I look forward to seeing the diverse range of styles, techniques, and personal visions that each artist brings to this inspiring subject.

Judging artwork is always a responsibility that I approach with great respect. Every painting represents not only technical skill but also the artist’s dedication, creativity, and unique perspective.

I will be looking for originality, composition, use of colour and light, technical execution, and, above all, the emotional connection each piece creates with the viewer.
