Learn. Create. Explore. Be Inspired.

Imagine waking up surrounded by the beauty of the Mediterranean landscape, spending the morning painting and learning new techniques, enjoying delicious local food, discovering inspiring places and ending the day with good conversation, a glass of local wine and the satisfaction of having created something of your own.
My painting holidays are designed to bring together art, travel and creativity in a relaxed and inspiring environment.
As a professional fine artist and experienced art tutor, I will guide you through a programme of painting tuition designed to help you develop your skills, experiment with new approaches and, most importantly, enjoy the creative process. But these holidays are about much more than painting.
They are an opportunity to step away from everyday routines, immerse yourself in a different culture and give yourself time to create.

a creative experience

Whether you are an enthusiastic beginner or an experienced painter looking to develop your practice, you will be encouraged to explore, experiment and discover what inspires you.
My teaching focuses on acrylic painting and watercolour, with an emphasis on:
Through demonstrations, practical painting sessions, individual guidance and group discussions, you will have the opportunity to learn more, paint more and see the landscape in a new way.
There is no pressure to produce a particular type of painting. My aim is to help you develop your own creative voice while enjoying the experience of painting in an inspiring environment.

painting, culture & the joy of place

A painting holiday is also about experiencing the place you are visiting.
We will explore the surrounding landscape and discover locations that offer different subjects, colours, light and atmosphere to paint. Depending on the destination, this may include:
coastal landscapes, historic towns, traditional villages, gardens, architecture and local scenery.
Painting outdoors gives us the opportunity to slow down and really observe our surroundings — the changing light, colours, textures and atmosphere that make each place unique.
You don’t simply visit a destination.
You experience it through the eyes of an artist.

taste the local culture

Art doesn’t exist in isolation.
Food, wine, architecture, traditions, landscapes and the people we meet all become part of the experience.Food, wine, architecture, traditions, landscapes and the people we meet all become part of the experience.
During the painting holidays, there will be opportunities to enjoy local cuisine, regional produce and, where appropriate, local wines, discovering the character and traditions of the region alongside your fellow painters.
There is something very special about sitting around a table after a day of painting, sharing stories about the day’s discoveries, looking at each other’s work and enjoying the flavours of the place we are visiting.
These are the moments that often become part of the memories we take home.

Time for yourself

One of the greatest luxuries of a painting holiday is time.

Time to paint.

Time to explore.

Time to observe.

Time to talk.

Time to rest.

And time simply to enjoy being somewhere beautiful.

The programme is structured to give you focused painting tuition while also allowing time for yourself. You won’t be expected to paint every minute of the day.
You can take a walk, enjoy the surroundings, sketch, read, relax or simply sit with a coffee and take in the landscape.
Creativity needs space — and these holidays are designed to give you that space.

learn more. paint more. experience more.

My painting holidays are for people who want to combine their love of art with the pleasure of travel.
You may return with: new skills, new inspiration, new friendships, new experiences and a renewed enthusiasm for your own creative practice.
And, hopefully, memories of a beautiful place that will stay with you long after the holiday has ended.
