About the experience

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Finca del Niño, Málaga, the week combines painting, artistic development, cultural exploration and relaxation.

Alexandra Ghimisi is an internationally exhibiting professional fine artist and experienced art tutor from Nottinghamshire, UK. Working primarily in acrylic, her practice explores landscape, atmosphere, light, colour, memory and emotional connection to place.

She has exhibited internationally and her achievements include becoming a Wild Card Winner of Sky Landscape Artist of the Year 2026.

During the painting holiday, Alexandra will provide practical tuition, demonstrations and individual guidance, encouraging participants to experiment, develop confidence and discover their own artistic voice.

Who is it for?

The programme is suitable for adult artists and creative people of different experience levels, from those taking their first steps in painting to experienced artists looking to develop their practice in a new environment.

Participants do not need to have a particular style or previous experience of plein-air painting. The emphasis is on exploration, experimentation and developing your individual artistic voice.

Location: La Finca del Niño is located in the south of Spain, east of Málaga on the Costa del Sol. Just 30 minutes from Malaga, and a mile from the beach, La Finca Del Niño lies peacefully in 10 acres of Andalucian countryside in the hamlet of Benajarafe Alto. It is an area famous for wine, its olive oil and its tropical fruit – mangoes, avocados, lychees and guavas.
